Adobe Captivate Certificate

Dive in and learn how to use Adobe Captivate in this hands-on program. You don’t need any experience with this engaging software to join the class; learn beginning, intermediate, and a few advanced techniques. Get slick production tips and tricks that will make your e-learning the best it can be. Receive expert guidelines on building lively customized interactions, screen characters, innovative quizzes, high-quality recording, and effective collaboration with other software. You will also receive a customized text book, designed exclusively for ATD.

The Adobe Captivate Certificate runs from January 22–23, 2018. The workshop begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. each day.

Learning Objectives

After this program, participants will be able to:

  • Record demonstrations, assessments, and interactive simulations.
  • Add images, animation, text, and Flash video.
  • Publish completed lessons for multiple audiences.
  • Create custom object styles.
  • Work with themes, variables, widgets, and interactions.
  • Create and use a project template.
  • Create an accessible project.
  • Integrate with a learning management system.

Audience

Although this workshop is most appropriate for beginners, participants should have a foundational understanding of e-learning design and development practices. No prior experience with Adobe Captivate is necessary. However, you must download a copy of Adobe Captivate on your computer. The trial offer is acceptable.

Facilitator

Kevin A. Siegel is the founder and president of IconLogic. He has written more than 100 step-by-step computer training books, including Essentials of Adobe Captivate 5, Essentials of Adobe Captivate 4, Essentials of Adobe Captivate 3, Essentials of Adobe Dreamweaver CS3,Essentials of QuarkXPress 7, Accelerated QuarkXPress 6, Essentials of Adobe InDesign CS3,Essentials of Adobe PageMaker 7, and Essentials of Adobe RoboHelp 8.

Kevin spent five years in the U.S. Coast Guard as an award-winning photojournalist and has more than 23 years experience as a print publisher and technical writer. He is a certified technical trainer, has been a classroom instructor for more than 18 years, and is a frequent speaker at trade shows and conventions. Kevin holds multiple certifications from companies such as Adobe and the CompTIA.
