Designing for Virtual Learning Using WebEx Training Center

Tuesday, January 23, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Presented by: Nanette Miner, The Training Doctor, LLC

Do you design for live online learning? Does your organization use WebEx Training Center? Then this session is for you!  We'll address the many nuances of designing for virtual, instructor-led training while simultaneously experiencing it in the WebEx Training Center classroom. Designing for live online learning requires an entirely different instructional systems design approach; it is not as simple as 'moving' what happens in the classroom to online. In this session, you'll learn the ACME model of online instructional design and the importance of  looking at the course holistically to create the best design approach. This session is modeled on the popular ATD Essentials Series offering; a laptop is required.

Microlearning in Microtime: Developing Effective Just-in-Time Learning

Tuesday, January 23, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Presented by: Shannon Tipton, Learning Rebels, LLC

As L&D professionals, we've all been there. A full-fledged e-learning course isn't the answer, and neither is having people sit in a classroom. The largest amount of learning occurs at the point of need; people need to access information when they most need to have it. Enter microlearning, or short learning bursts. Using the Learning Rebels 3D model for microlearning, this session will give you the critical information and tools you need to rapidly build effective and sustainable microlearning content.
